Tech Firm Pays $1M Penalty In MP3 Sharing Case

October 30, 2002, Austin, Texas -- An April 10, 2002 article published in InformationWeek details how technology consulting firm Integrated Information Systems Inc. agreed to pay a $1,000,000 settlement to the Recording Industry Association of America instead of fighting a copyright-infringement lawsuit.
